제목 Flame Retardancy and Physical Properties of  Poly (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate)/ Recycled Aluminum Trihydroxide Composites  
초록 Aluminum trihydroxide (ATH) is an inorganic flame retardant widely used due to its low cost and nontoxicity as well as easy incorporation into various thermoplastics and thermosets. In this study, we used recycled ATH. It was obtained from recycling process of aluminum layer containing multilayer packaging film wastes. Using different opening size of mesh in the process of separating the ATH from other impurites, various sizes of recycled ATH were recovered. EVA/ATH composite samples were prepared using a two roll-mill. Morphologies and mechanical properties of composite were examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and universal testing machine (UTM). Flame retardancy of EVA/ATH composites were examined using Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) test and were analyzed in terms of surface area of ATH.
