Flame retardancy of poly(lactic acid) containing flame retardant |

The effects of flame retardants that synthesized in this study on the flame retardancy of PLA was investigated. PLA was prepared via ring opening metathesis polymerization of L-lactide and flame retardants were synthesized via the condensation polymerization of phenylphosphonic dichloride(PPDC) with 1,4-butanediol. The chemical structure of the flame retardant was characterized with a proton nuclear magnetic resonance(¹H NMR) and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR). Then, flame retardant PLA composite was prepared. The flame retarding ability of flame retardant PLA composite was investigated by the limiting oxygen index(LOI) and the thermogravimetric analysis(TGA). The detailed results will be presented in conference. |
