제목 Low Band Gap Conjugated Polymer Based on Isoindigo Dye for Organic Photovoltaics
초록 As far as a strong intramolecular charge transfer induced by donor-acceptor(D-A) type copolymer is concerned, isoindigo as a good electron deficient unit in D-A copolymers has been widely used in polymer solar cells. It has strong electron affinity characteristic due to its two lactam rings, promising broad absorption range, high open circuit voltage according to low HOMO level, high carrier mobility due to the rigid and planar structure.

In this study, thiophene was polymerized with dithienyl isoindigo with 2-octyldodecyl groups on N atoms via Stille coupling reaction. To make sure the solubility, 2-ethylhexyl groups were introduced on the thiophene units adjacent to the isoindigo. The synthesized polymer was characterized by 1H-NMR, GPC, UV-vis spectroscopy and cyclic voltammogram for optical and electrochemical properties.
