The current polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) technology is based on perfluorosulfonic acid polymer membranes (e.g. Nafion) as electrolyte. But proton conductivity of nafion is acceptable only at elevated hydration levels, thus nafion membranes is not suitable for PEMFC at high-temperature. The PBI membranes are good thermal stability and good proton conductivity at high-temperature. 2,5 PBI And 2,6 PBI solution blend with variable contents of nafion solution. PBI/Nafion ionomer are make of brushing and hot-pressing method. Adhesion of ionomer with membrane and electrode was measured by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). The performances of the MEA which was make of PBI/Nafion ionomer measured by Fuel Cell Station and Impedence Analyzer. |
