제목 Synthesis of Nitrogen Doped TiO2 Nano Powder Using Thermal Plasma
초록 Thermal plasma processing has unique characteristics due to high temperature, high activity and rapid quenching. So this processing adapts to synthesize nano-sized powder. TiO2 powder has been used in wide application such as cosmetics, catalysts, ceramics, additives, etc and TiO2 also has been attracted in environmental applications as a photocatalyst. High quality nano-sized TiO2 powder and nitrogen doped TiO2 were prepared using DC plasma jet. Raw material(TiCl4) and N2 were fed into plasma flame respectively. Oxygen gas was fed into the reactor as a reaction gas. Reaction pressure maintained 750 torr. The characteristics of the powder were investigated phase composition, particle size, particle morphology, and the absorbance of UV-Vis. light by XRD, SEM, TEM, UV-Vis. spectroscopy. Range of particle size was several tens nano-meter, and shape of particle was round. In case of nitrogen doped TiO2 compared with optical properties of degussa P-25.
