In this work, porous polymer electrolyte membrane (P-PEM) based on polyvinylidenefluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene (PVDF-HFP) comprising of lithium perchlorate (LiClO4) was prepared. Ethylene carbonate (EC) and diethyl carbonate (DEC) mixtures and non-solvent, i.e. ethanol were used as gelling agent and pore former. N-doped TiO2 was used as a filler to enhance the Li+ ion conductivity. The P-PEM was characterized by SEM, tensile strength, and a.c. impedance. From the results, the prepared P-PEM showed a good ability to absorb and retain the Li+ ion. Moreover, the addition of N-doped TiO2 was found to enhance the tensile strength and ion conductivity and the electrolyte/electrode interfacial stability of the PVDF-HFP membrane. |
