제목 Synthesis and Characterization of New Hybrid Poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacraylate) Containing POSS
초록 Polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) has been widely regarded as one of the most promising hybrid materials. POSS has high thermal stability and oxidation resistance. Click chemistry describes a class of chemical reactions that are easy to perform, give rise to their intended products in very high yields with little or by products, work well under many conditions. Linear poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) (PHEMA) was synthesized by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP). PHEMA has good compatibility with materials such as contact lenses, dental, surgical implants, tissue engineering scaffolds, biosensors and catherter. Hybrid PHEMA containing POSS was synthesized by a simple and versatile approach which is click coupling between azide functionalized POSS and alkyne-functionalized PHEMA. We also discuss their unique characteristics and properties demonstrated by NMR, TGA, DSC, SEM, and FT-IR.
