제목 Properties of hydrophilic and hydrophobic starch on the cellulosic fiber for sizing agent
초록 The use of starch colloids has received attention due to their biocompatibility, biodegradability and non-toxicity make them excellent candidate in nanotechnology application as implant materials, bioplastic and paper manufacturing. As controlling the size and weight of the hydrophobic and hydrophilic starch, starch colloids are increasingly binding to cellulosic fiber which was absolutely covered with them. Also, It is showed that adhesive property and dispersibility in matrix are increased. Results showed that type and weight of starch affect the morphology, viscosity and physical properties. It can be polymer surface sizing agent increased electrostatic interaction as surface sizing additive was considered to be advantageous for base papers since it would improve the coverage and optical properties of coated papers.
