Band Filter Gradient Porous Silicons and Their Applications |

Band filter gradient (BFG) porous silicons have been generated by an electrochemical etching of silicon wafer using an asymmetric electrode configuration in aqueous ethanolic HF solution. BFG PSi prepared by using anisotropic etching conditions displays the reflection bands whose reflection maxima varied spatially across the porous silicon. BFG PSi displays a rainbow-like appearance due to the uneven distribution of current across the silicon wafer during the etch. |
