Acrylic polymers with a low glass transition temperature are used as pressure sensitive adhesives in various application fields, such as electronics, automobiles, office automation, packing and daily necessities. In addition, it has attracted attention as a biocompatible adhesive such as transdermal drug delivery patch. Most of the acrylic polymer used as pressure sensitive adhesives have hydrophobic properties. But, since the drug used in the patch has hydrophilic property. Therefore, it is no miscible with the polymer having hydrophilic properties and occurs phase separation. In this study, we synthesized with acrylic properties to improve compatibility with drug. The hydrophilicity of acrylic polymer is controlled by acrylate monomer ratio, Ethylhexyl acrylate (EHA) and Hydroxyethyl acrylate (HEA). Synthesized acrylic polymer were characterized using FT-NMR, FT-IR, DSC, TGA and contact angle analyzer. |
