제목 Evaluation of Interfacial and Mechanical Properties of GF or CF/Epoxy Composites  with Brine Aging Treatments
초록 During an underwater condition, this front surface alone will be directly exposed and infiltrated to brine, finally decrease of properties occurs. Acoustic emission (AE) is one of important nondestructive evaluation (NDE) to investigate mechanism of microfailure of structural composite materials. In this work, the changes of glass and carbon fiber with elapsing days in NaCl water solution were investigated for the surface observation, mechanical and the interfacial properties. The decrease in fiber tensile strength was correlated with mechanical properties by fatigue test combined with fragmentation test. AE by event, amplitude, and energy, was also correlated to the interfacial shear strength (IFSS) between glass or carbon fiber and epoxy in NaCl solution circumstance.
