제목 | Unraveling the role of Hydrofluoroether dilution of High-concentration electrolyte for wide temperature cycling of Li-metal batteries |
초록 | In recent years, high concentration electrolytes (HCEs) and strategies to dilute them have drawn immense research attention in various battery systems, especially in Li-metal batteries (LMBs). The most intriguing feature of these electrolytes is to form stable solid-electrolyte interphases, which are instrumental for stabilizing the Li-metal anodes (LMAs). Nonetheless, the understanding on the determining factors for reversible cycling of LMA over a wide temperature range is still lacking. In this work, we further illuminate the efficacy of the HCE (4M LiFSI in DME) and diluted-HCE (dHCE, 1M LiFSI in DME/TTE*) and unveil the dominating factors for effective cycling of LMAs over the actual operating temperature range (5−60 °C) by comparatively studying the HCE and dHCE. *TTE: 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl 2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropyl ether |
