제목 Perfluorosulfonic acid coated poly benzimidazole membrane with enhanced chemical stability and low vanadium permeability for vanadium redox flow batteries
초록 H2SO4-doped polybenzimidazole(PBI) membrane is considered as a promising candidate for vanadium redox flow battery(VRFB) due to good ionic conductivity and extremely low vanadium ions permeability.
To enhance the chemical stability of PBI membrane, in this study, thin perfluorosulfonic acid(PFSA) layer is introduced on the PBI membrane surface. the resulting hybrid membrane was characterized by area resistance, ex-situ chemical stability, vanadium ions permeability and VRFB single cell tests.
