Fluorinated matrials are intrinsically multifunctional and have found a broad range of applications. A new class of semicrystalline terpolymers comprising vinylidene fluoride (VdF), trifluoroethylene (TrFE), and 1, 1-chlorofluoroethylene (CFE), were prepared via a suspension polymerization process. The properties of terpolymers can be improved by gafting or crosslinking of several agents. The terpolymer was crosslinked in order to improve insolutility and fusibility of the terpolymer with various crossliking agnets: Ethylenediamine(EDA), N-isopropylethylenediamine (IEDA), 1,3-Phenylenediamine(PDA), 1,5-Naphthalenediamine(NDA), 2,4,4-trimethyl-1,6-hexanediamine (THDA). The degree of terpolymer-crossliking was proved by DSC and DMA. The decrease of the exothermic heats (H) of the terpolymer and the increase of the Tg value of the terpolymer were observed during the crosslinking process. |
