A brief review was given for the recent advancement and application of perturbation theory and the integral equation theory in the modeling of thermodynamic properties and fluid phase equilibrium for the electrolyte solutions. The main results of our research for the thermodynamic properties of L-J fluids, non-electrolyte solution and electrolyte solutions based on equation of state by using the recent achievement of statistical thermodynamics were presented. The study of non-primitive model for electrolyte solution based on equation of state should be the new trend in the future.
