제목 Hyperbranched Poly(amidoamine)-Functionalized Mesoporous Magnetite as Separable and Reusable Adsorbent for Heavy Metal Ions Removal in Water
초록 Toxic heavy metal contamination becomes as serious problem threatening human health. A simple and effective process has been proposed to prepare multi-functional adsorbents with hyperbranched poly(amidoamine) and mesoporous magnetite (PAMAM@M-Fe3O4) for the removal of heavy metal ions in water. The properties of PAMAM@M-Fe3O4 were characterized via FT-IR, XPS, WXRD, FESEM, TEM, and N2 adsorption and desorption analysis. Their magnetic properties were also studied by using a SQUID magnetometer. The adsorption capability of PAMAM@M-Fe3O4 was measured as a function of metal uptake time and type of heavy metal ions. Especially, PAMAM polymer on the large surface of the M-Fe3O4 is available for coordinating with heavy metal ions, and PAMAM@M-Fe3O4 can be removed easily from water under a relatively low external magnetic field. Therefore, PAMAM@M-Fe3O4 could be considered as a potential candidate as an efficiently separable and reusable adsorbent of heavy metal ions in water treatment.
