Large-area synthesis of ultra-thin, flexible and conductive Metal-Organic Frameworks thin-film via microfluidic-based solution shearing process |

Amongst the c-MOFs, Ni3(hexaiminotriphenylene)2 (Ni3(HITP)2) is especially promising due to its high conductivity on the order of 4-5,000 S/m. We demonstrate a combination of the Microfluidic-based Solution shearing process and the Post-synthesis process (MSP) that enables the large-area synthesis of ultrathin, flexible, and conductive Ni3(HITP)2 films across micrometer-scale areas through precisely controlled steps. The continuous microfluidic flow in the microfluidic channel precisely mixes the precursors to supply a solution of uniform concentration during the solution shearing process. The homogeneous Ni3(HITP)2 precursor obtained from the solution shearing process forms the Ni3(HITP)2 thin-film after the amine post-treatment process. The resulting high qualities of the Ni3(HITP)2 thin-film facilitate its application in high-performance electronic devices. |
