제목 Properties of Polypropylene/Thermoplastic Polyester Elastomer Blends and Effect of Compatibility
초록 A series of immiscible polypropylene (PP)/thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPEE) blends and PP/TPEE (80/20 wt. %) blends with MA-g-PP ranging from 0 to 8 wt. % were manufactured via simple and efficient melt-mixing using internal mixer. The SEM images of PP/TPEE blend showed that TPEE dispersed in the PP matrix and they were immiscible. The morphology of the PP/TPEE/MA-g-PP indicated that the PP and TPEE were miscible owing to MA-g-PP serving as a compatibilizer. The tensile tests confirmed that with higher TPEE contents, the tensile strength of the PP/TPEE blends decreased. The tensile strength of the PP/TPEE/MA-g-PP was improved by MA-g-PP. The impact tests presented that the impact strength of the PP/TPEE blends and the PP/TPEE/MA-g-PP were enhanced by the TPEE and MA-g-PP respectively. In the DSC, crystallinity (Xc) of PP/TPEE blends was decreased with an increase in TEPP contents.
