Preparation of Celecoxib-loaded Polyoxalate Microspheres with Blending Condition for Control Release |

The purpose of this study was to prepare and evaluate celecoxib-loaded microspheres from various combination ratio of two POX (polyoxalate) molecular weights such as 30K and 100K. POX was synthesized as an alternative for manufactured drug-loaded microsphere and it could be successfully designed by O/W (oil-in-water) solvent-evaporation methods. POX microspheres were evaluated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Also, the degradation of microspheres by SEM and the in vitro drug release patterns were obtained for 12 days. Through the study results, it shows that the source of the skin layer of celecoxib-loaded microspheres is comprised of POX and celecoxib was encapsulated within the microspheres.
