A benzo[b]thieno[2,3-d]thiophene (BTT) derivatives with thiophene and styryl group as organic semiconductors for organic field-effect transistors (OTFTs) were designed and synthesized. Thermal, optical, and electrochemical properties of the new compounds were characterized. The BTT-based OTFTs with thiophene exhibited mobility of up to 0.005 cm2 V-1 s-1 and an on/off ratio of 2.3 × 105. Furthermore, the BTT-based OTFTs with styryl group showed a maximum mobility of up to 0.0223 cm2 V-1 s-1 and an on/off ratio of 2.54 × 108. |
