제목 Aggregation of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) by self-assembly of amphiphilic AuNPs.
초록  We investigate the aggregation of AuNPs by self-assembly of amphiphilic AuNPs functionalized with both hydrophobic and hydrophilic ligands. The ratio of ligands on the AuNPs surface can be easily tuned during the synthesis of amphiphilic AuNPs and the ligands on the AuNPs are rearranged during their assembly in solution. When the coverage of hydrophobic ligands is larger than 30%, the AuNPs start to aggregate and the size of the aggregation increases until the AuNPs precipitates out from the solution. Such aggregations are induced by hydrophobic interaction between hydrophobic ligands on the AuNPs surface. We confirmed the aggregation of AuNPs from TEM and DLS and localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) induced by aggregations of AuNPs using spectrophotometry.
