제목 The Improvement of the Storage Stability and the Gastroresistance of Lansoprazole by Sodium Alginate Coating
초록 Sodium alginate has been used in oral and topical formulations and becomes viscous liquid when dissolves in distilled water. It forms gel rapidly when it contacts with metal ion such as Ca2+, Sr2+, or Ba2+ and shrinks in low pH and re-swells in phosphate buffer solution above pH 7.0. Based on these properties, it is expected to improve the gastoresistance and storage stability of lansoprazole by blocking the acidic environment of enteric polymer when coated with sodium alginate. In this study, we evaluated the effect of sodium alginate film on the storage stability, gastroresistance and dissolution rate of enteric-coated lansoprazole. Coated with sodium alginate, lansoprazole granules showed improved storage stability and gastroresistance not much influencing dissolution rate.
