The synthesis and application of thermally-stable cyan dyes for six-color patterned (RGBCMY) LCD color filters |
초록 |
Four cyan phthalocyanine dyes were synthesized to improve the color gamut of liquid crystal display color filters, and their thermal properties were examined by thermogravimetric analysis(TGA). Dye-based color filters were also fabricated using the synthesized dyes. The spectral properties and thermal stability of the color filters were investigated by comparing them with pigment-based ones. The prepared color filters showed superior spectral properties due to the smaller particle size of the dyes, and their thermal stability was similar to those of the pigment-dispersed color filters. The results showed that the prepared dyes could be successfully applied in six-color patterned (RGBCMY) liquid crystal display color. |
