Immunoflourescence labeling for a biosenser is a widely used technique in the biological research. Generally, organic fluorescent dyes or fluorescent quantum dots are chosen as a signaling agent due to their high fluorescence quantum efficiency. However, organic fluorescent molecules show aggregation by π-π* stacking in solid state leading reduced fluorescence efficiency. As a result, quantum dots are introduced to surpass this efficiency issue, but they tend to kill the cells because of their high toxicity. These problems of the conventional fluorescent markers are to overcome by designing new organic fluorescent molecules and disperse in a nano-structure for further bio-related applications. |
