Block copolymer (BCP) nanostructures with cylinder or lamella morphologies have been widely studied due to their promising application in nanofabrication. the most critical issue of BCP application is the formulation of vertical orientation of BCP nanostructures on specific substrates. Recently , our group has show the general for controlling vertical orientation of BCP nanostructures on various substrates by introducing “neutral layers ”between target substrates and BCP thin film through photo-crosslinking of random copolymers with specific composition. In this study , “neutrality windows”, the random copolymer compositions for producing vertical orientation of cylinder or lamella BCP nanostructures were carefully monitored by using random copolymers with different monomer compositions. Initial study has shown that “neutrality window” for lamella morphology is wider than that for cylinder morphology. |
