제목 Pseudo Opal Embedded PDMS Membrane for Microfluidic Pressure Sensing
초록 In microfluidics, it is important to know the pressure of the fluid flowing through the micro-channel. This is because the flow characteristics of the fluid can be predicted if the pressure of the fluid at a specific position can be known. There were various ways to measure fluid pressure. Conventional pressure sensors have used mechanical or electrical signals which requires high cost, large size of measuring equipment or external power. In this experiment, we addressed aforementioned limitations by introducing pseudo polystyrene(PS) opal embedded polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) membrane on PDMS micro-channel for real-time sensing of channel pressure. The change of pressure could be detected through reflectance change due to deformation of pseudo opal embedded PDMS membrane.
