제목 Microneedle Biosensor for Real-Time Electrical Detection of Nitric Oxide for In Situ Cancer Diagnosis During Endomicroscopy
초록 We fabricated a microneedle biosensor (MS) using a polycarprolactone micrnoeedle surface-modified with poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) and complexed with hemin molecules. MS demonstrated high carrier mobility for real-time electrical read-out of nitric oxide (NO) signals with high sensitivity and selectivity which is appropriate to detect micromolar concentrations of NO in physiopathological conditions. MS rapidly distinguished the NO concentration difference between melanoma and normal tissues. In vivo application of the MS fabricated on endomicroscopy provided a powerful tool to identify carcinogenesis in colon cancer mice model by imaging of suspicious lesions and electrical detection of NO released by inflammation associated cancer progression. This dual diagnostic system of MS and endomicroscopy can be a new platform for facile and accurate detection of cancer in various biomedical applications.
