제목 The interaction and rheology properties between Chitosan and multiwall carbon nanotubes in solutions
초록 Interactions between carbon nanotubes(CNTs) and natural polymers have been intensively investigated for the future applications of CNTs. A chitosan is a natural polymer and used as biomaterial. Chitosan solutions were prepared in 1wt% acetic acid with different pH. Functionalized CNTs(fCNTs) were prepared by chemical oxidation method. Then, interactions between functionalized CNTs (fCNTs) and the chitosan in solutions with different pH were investigated by IR spectroscopy, SEM and TEM. In addition, the rheology properties of chitosan/fCNTs solutions were measured under various pH. The effect of pH on the complex formation between the amine groups of the chitosan and the carboxyl groups of fCNTs was presented.
