제목 Inter-Ligand Energy Transfer in Heteroleptic Ir complexes: Comprehensive investigations of its fast dynamics and mechanism
초록 The heteroleptic Ir(III) complexes containing of two dfppy ligands and an ancillary ligand (dpq or tpphz) was synthesized to obtain evidence of the ILET process that can be observed in the presence of energetically different ligands in metal complexes. From the temperature dependency results, we found that the rigidity of the environment is a very important factor affecting the ILET process. Indeed, the ILET appears to require some structural distortion because this transition is forbidden when the ligands are arranged in an orthogonal geometry. Complex 1 bearing the tpphz ancillary ligand showed slower ILET dynamics than complex 2 with the dpp ligand. Both of 1 and 2 constitute good models for understanding the ILET dynamics based on TA spectroscopy with excitation with different wavelengths.
