제목 | Novel ionic conductor based on didodecyl-tetramethyl-hexanediammonium as an additive to poly(p-phenylene oxide) and its application to anion exchange membrane |
초록 | A high degree of functionalization is required to obtain increased conductivity for the development of anion exchange membranes (AEMs). However, it inevitably causes an enhanced swelling and decreased mechanical properties for the obtained AEMs. To overcome this problem, novel physically-crosslinked polymer membranes were prepared by simply blending alkyl-substituted poly(p-phenylene oxide) (PPO) with an ionic conductor having long alkyl diammonium groups. Addition of this new additive increased the conductivity, while the dimensional stability was still maintained due to the formation of physical crosslinking between alkyl chains in PPO and the additive. The effect of this crosslinker on the chemophysical properties of the blend membranes will be discussed in detail. |
