Optical Properties of Photoluminescent Silafluorene Polymers |

Fluorenes are of considerable current interest, both because of their unusual electronic and optical properties and because of their possible application as O-LED materials. Recently, we have synthesized the 1,1-dichlorosilafluorene and spirosilafluorene. Structural characterization for dichlorosilafluorene and spirosilafluorene has been achieved by NMR and X-ray single crystallography. Photoluminescent polymers containing silafluorene unit have been synthesized and their optical properties have been characterized by UV-vis and fluorescence spectroscopy. Further details will be presented. |
