To obtain high-performance NO gas sensing electrode, SnO2/graphite was modified by fluorination. The graphite was introduced SnO2 by SnCl2 aqueous solution and fluorine functional groups by fluorine gas. The properties of fluorinated SnO2/EG were analyzed with FE-SEM, XRD, XPS and NO gas sensing. Through tin mapping images, it is confirmed that the tin elements are uniformly coated on the surface of EG. The fluorine functional groups increased according to the increasing fluorination temperature. The fluorinated SnO2/graphite at 400 ℃ showed highest NO gas sensitivity, exhibiting a 5.2% change in electrical resistance. The SnO2 induces adsorption of NO gas and the fluorine functional groups were transferred electron from EG surface to the NO gas adsorbed on SnO2. Therefore the high NO gas sensitivity is attributed to the synergy effect by introduced SnO2 and fluorine functional groups. |
