제목 Fabrication and Characterization of PVP/Mulberry fibers hydrogels cross-linked by E-beam Irradiation
초록 Hydrogels have been studied extensively for biomedical applications such as contact lenses, wound dressing and drug delivery systems due to their good biocompatibility, and moisture retention. In this study, poly(N-vinyl pyrrolidone)/Mulberry fibers blend hydrogels have been prepared using the electron beam irradiation technique. The chemical and physical properties of the hydrogels such as the gel fraction, swelling behavior and mechanical properties were investigated. Compared with pure PVP hydrogel, PVP/Mulberry fibers blend hydrogels showed high gel strength and flexibility. The prepared composite hydrogel was further characterized by Universal testing machine etc. The PVP/Mulberry fibers hydrogels could be used for various biomedical and cosmetic applications.
