Optical Property of PTrFE Copolymer with Hexafluoropropylene |

Fluorinated polymers exhibit a number of interesting properties such as low refractive index, high transmittance, and low surface free energy. In this study, we report on optical property of poly(trifluoroethylene-co-hexafluoropropylene)(P(TrFE-co-HFP)) films. To observe transmittance and refractive index of copolymer film, spin-coated films on glass slide were crystallized by cooling from 200 ℃. It was found that the the HFP content in the polymer chains influenced refractive index of their thin films. As increasing the HFP content in polymer chains, refractive index was decreased. |
