제목 | Preparation of micro - ceramic beads by emulsification of zirconia slurry |
초록 | As the importance of nano process technology for energy storage material, flexible device material, and hazardous material is increasing, the demand for micro ceramic beads is increasing. High sphericity and uniformity are required for high grinding/mixing power and long lifetime of micro ceramic beads. In this study, gel casting was carried out by adding an initiator after preparing the slurry by mixing partially stabilized zirconia, dispersant, monomer, and cross linking agent. Experiments were carried out through emulsion stabilization to obtain spherical micro beads. The mixture was emulsified by mechanical stirring through a vibrating mill, a magnetic stirrer, and a homogenizer. The size of micro beads was different according to the type of mechanical agitation and the stirring speed for emulsification and the size of micro beads ranged from 10 to 100 μm.
