제목 Fabrication and evaluation of starch/PVA hydrogel for Tissue engineering application
초록 Starch and polyvinyl alcohol has been widely used in packaging material and drug delivery due to its biodegradability low cost and renewability.  In this study, different starch/pva hydrogel blends were fabricated using lyophilization with citric acid as cross-linker for tissue engineering application. Morphology of hydrogel was evaluated using SEM, and characterized using FTIR, contact angle measurement, swelling, degradation measurement and pore size distribution analysis. In-vitro study such as MTT assay and fluorescent staining using different cell lines (L929 cells, MC3T3-E1 pre-osteoblast cells and BMSC) were carried out to evaluate cytotoxicity adhesion, proliferation and in-vitro performance. Results of the study showed interconnected porosity, good swelling rate, slow degradation rate and no cytotoxic effect in-vitro, which make starch/PVA hydrogel suitable scaffold for different tissue engineering application.
