제목 | Electrochemical Characteristics of Olivine-type LiFexMn1-xPO4 Cathode Materials for Lithium Ion Batteries |
초록 | The Olivine-type LiFePO4 cathode material has advantages of commercial advantage, high thermal stability and friendly environment. but this is limited of the high-performance electric vehicle (EV) because of low voltage due to low energy density. In this study, high voltage olivine LiFexMn1-xPO4 by varying ratio of Fe substituted for Mn are synthesized by ball milling method. Synthetic LiFexMn1-xPO4 were measured morphology, surface state by Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and analyzed the structural characteristics by X-ray diffractometer (XRD) Also produced a coin-type cell, the electrochemical properties were evaluated. That test are electrochemical redox behavior according to charge and discharge characteristics, impedance, high-rate charge and discharge characteristics. Through this study, There exist two plateaus around 3.4 and 4.1 V on both of their charge and discharge curves, while the substitution of Fe for Mn. As a result, the charge/discharge plateaus voltages of the synthesized cathode material are higher than charge/discharge plateaus voltages of conventional LiFePO4 cathode material. |
