Electrochromic characteristics of Thin WO3 Nanosheet using Alkali Metal |
초록 |
With the advent of transparent and flexible devices, two-dimensional (2D) thin metal oxides have been considered one of the most promising candidates for electrochromic devices due to their large surface area and good circulation stability. In this study, we used the potassium-sodium hydrate insertion method to control the sizeable WO3 nanosheets, and applied it in practice to electrochromic devices. The side size of the WO3 nanosheet can control the WO3 sheet size, from micro-side size nanosheets with a thickness of less than 10 nm to nano-sized quantum dots. Electrochromic devices fabricated through size-controlled WO3 nanosheets showed high light modulation (∆T = 41.4%) at a wavelength of 700 nm, confirming a fast color conversion rate when compared to bulk WO3 powder. It maintained the electrochromic characteristics for 1000 cycles and showed excellent stability. In addition, we successfully confirmed the electrochromic properties by coating size-controlled WO3 on CVD graphene/PET substrates for the fabrication of flexible devices. This also makes our devices a promising candidate for flexible and portable electronics due to their excellent electrochromic performance combined with flexibility. |
