Pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) have many benefits in various fields such as optical and electrical applications. PSAs are used as an important material, super view resin (SVR), in the field of liquid crystal display (LCD). Filling the air gap in LCD window with the resin having a same refractive index as that of window material reduces the sunlight reflection problem inherent in the reinforced cover glass. SVRs were synthesized from the mixtures consisting of acryl rubber, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, acrylic acid, and multi-functional oligomer by electron beam. Various kinds of SVRs were prepared by varying the contents of acrylic acid (0, 5.0, 7.5, and 10.0 phr) and multi-functional oligomer (0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 phr). Various properties such as elasticity, transmittance, heat resistance, and adhesion were dependent on the electron beam curing of SVR. |
