제목 | Phase Separtion Prediction method in membrane formation using Monte Carlo simulation technique |
초록 | While the final membrane morphology obtained during phase inversion depends on the kinetics as well as thermodynamics of phase separation, equilibrium phase diagrams is a still basic tool for analysis and control of membrane morphology. We proposed a method to predict liquid-liquid phase separation in phase inversion membrane formation systems by the combination of a Flory-Huggins lattice treatment and Monte Carlo simulation technique. We examined the applicability of interaction parameters calculated from the Monte Carlo simulation for phase equilibria in membrane formation. Interaction parameters (polymer-solvent, polymer-nonsolvent) are calculated by the pair method, fully atomistic simulation method for segment structure. Phase diagrams for the ternary systems (polysulfone,polyethersulfone)/solvent /Nonsolvent were calculated by conventional numerical method. |
