제목 Phase Separtion Prediction method in membrane formation using Monte Carlo simulation technique
초록 While the final membrane morphology obtained during phase inversion depends on the kinetics as well as thermodynamics of phase separation, equilibrium phase diagrams is a still basic tool for analysis and control of membrane morphology.
We proposed a method to predict liquid-liquid phase separation in phase inversion membrane formation systems by the combination of a Flory-Huggins lattice treatment and Monte Carlo simulation technique. We examined the applicability of interaction parameters calculated from the Monte Carlo simulation for phase equilibria in membrane formation. Interaction parameters (polymer-solvent, polymer-nonsolvent) are calculated by the pair method, fully atomistic simulation method for segment structure. Phase diagrams for the ternary systems (polysulfone,polyethersulfone)/solvent /Nonsolvent were calculated by conventional numerical method.
