The arrayed alkyne group on a solid surface has been attracted for the attachment of diverse agents applicable in electronic device coating, fluorescence nanopatterning, and surface reforming. With that interest, we synthesized alkyne-cobalt-CO complexes and analyzed electron beam (e-beam) mediated ligand dissociation in gas phase. The complex includes alkynes containing aldehyde and chlorine ligands since those groups play a role of immobilizing anchor onto gold or silica surface. The ligands, CO and phosphine underwent dissociations to lead conversion of complexes to alkynes. These results suggested a potential application of the aryl-substituted alkyne-cobalt complex as alkyne precursor on a solid surface via photochemical ligand dissociation. |
