Synthesis and Characterization of Carbazole-based Bipolar Type Organic Dyes for Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells |
초록 |
Carbazole moiety have been used as a active layer in fields of organic light-emitting diodes by virtue of excellent hole-transporting ability. carbazole unit also have a strong electron donating ability which lead to red shift of absorption spectrum. we synthesized organic dye sensitizers based on Carbazole moiety as a donor. We also prepared a series of organic dyes with thiophene units and 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT) as a π-conjugation linkage, for dye sensitized solar cells. Cyano acetic aicd was employed as a acceptor for all organic dyes. To introduce EDOT moiey as a spacer increase absorption wavelength, because of their electron-rich character. The structures of a series of dyes were established using FT-IR spectroscopy and H-NMR. The electrochemical properties of the dyes were determined from the cyclicvoltammetry and absorption spectroscopy. The photovoltaic of synthesized organic dye will be discussed. |
