제목 1,2-DNB and 3,4-DNT as A Noble Polarizers for Ag NPs for Facilitated Olefin Transport Membrane
초록 Facilitated olefin transport membrane has shown the extremely high separation performance for olefin/paraffin mixtures, which contained surface-activated silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) as olefin carriers dispersed in a polymeric matrix. The surface of Ag NPs was activated by electron acceptor p-benzoquinone (p-BQ) and 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) to induce positive charge on their surface. Therefore the electron acceptor plays a vital role in determining the olefin carrier activity and consequently the separation performance. In this study, 1,2-dinitrobenzene (DNB) and 3,4-dinitrotoluene (DNT) which have two nitro groups are explored to induce positive charge on the surface of Ag NPs and to increase the interactions with propylene, expecting high separation performance for propylene/propane mixtures. Moreover, the correlation between the membrane performance and the surface charge density of Ag NPs will also be investigated.
