Controlling the electrospinning conditions for controlled drug release based on drug encapsulated chitosan fiber |

The Drug (Streptococcus thermophilus) was encapsulated by chitosan fiber using electrospinning method. The electrospinning conditions were controlled in order to release the drug in large intestine of human body. The conditions about released time and surroundings such as pH and temperature were considered for experimental release. The surface morphology of resultant samples was investigated by FE-SEM images. The experimental release analysis was carried out by using UV-spectrometer. Conclusively, it was found that chitosan can protect the drug before arriving at the large intestine due to the chemical properties of chitosan and releasing duration of drug also can be controlled by controlling the diameter of chitosan fibers. So it is sure that the properties of drug delivery can be controlled by using our system. |
