Acid treated halloysite nanotube embedded in PVA supported by alumina hollow fiber membrane for pervaporation dehydration of ECH/IPA/Water mixtures |
초록 |
The epoxy resin manufactured by reaction between the Epichlorohydrin and Bisphenol-A and excess of isopropanol (IPA) has been generally added as a solvent. At the final stage of reaction, ECH/IPA/Water mixture is remained in azeotropic form (50/30/20, w/w, %) along with final product. A recovery of high purity ECH/IPA from the obtained azeotropic mixture is necessary to reduce production coast but it is difficult by only distillation process. Therefore, pervaporation dehydration of ECH containing ternary feed mixture were studied using the acid treated HNT embedded PVA supported on alumina hollow fiber membrane. The acid treating of HNT surface was performed aim to generate the hydrophilic moieties on the HNT surface and FTIR and XPS analysis was used to confirmed the successful generation hydroxyl groups on HNT surface. FE-SEM analysis were performed for determining the consistency of membrane surface as well as thickness of active layer on the alumina hollow fiber. |
