제목 Sponge-like lipophilic gel cross-linked with poly(aspartamide) designed for VOCs absorbing
초록 A Lipophilic Gels (LGs) have been studied to absorb various organic solvents. In this study, we present an engineered LGs consisting of silicon backbone 3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate(MPTS) for absorbing volatile organic compounds(VOCs). The LGs was cross-linked with poly(2-propyl aspartamide) grafted methacrylates. And then the LGs was designed to sponge like structure for enhancing VOCs absorbency by freeze drying. To analyze the absorbency of the LGs, we focused on formation of sponge type structure. In addition, VOCs vapor absorption rate was calculated in closed system and continuous column experiment. As a result, forming sponge type structure was giving rise to improved VOCs absorption rate, though under low molarity MPTS. Overall, this new strategy to prepare the super lipophilic sponge gel using the graft cross-linking polymer would be directly used for designing effective VOCs absorbent.
