The ionic polyacetylenes prepared from catalyst-free spontaneous polymerization of ethynylpyridines have been used as a material candidates for light-emitting diodes, fluorescence quencher, hybrid gels, silver nanocomposites, unpolar write-once-read-many times (WORM) memory devices, etc. Here, we report on the facile preparation of an ionic conjugated polymer by the uncatalyzed polymerization of 2-ethynylpyridine using 3-Bromo-1-(trimethylsilyl)-1-propyne. The chemical structure of polymer was characterized by NMR (1H-,13C-), IR, and UV-visible spectroscopies. And also, the effect of this material on photovoltaic performance of quasi-solid-state DSSCs was examined. |
