One of the important factors when designing molecules with stable structure in blue host is having high triplet energy. To have high triplet energy, it must have a twisted structure that increases the dihedral angle of the molecule, thereby reducing the bond dissociation energy. In this study, 3,3"-di(9H-carbazole-9-yl)-1,1':2',1"-terphenyl(DCz-oTP) with high bond dissociation energy was synthesized by introducing 9H-carbazole into the orth-terphenyl skeleton at the meta position to have high triplet energy and by reducing the dihedral angle of the C-N bond, a weak bond in the molecule. In addition, 9,9',9"-([1,1':2',1"-terphenyl]-3,3",5-triyl)tris(9H-carbazole)(TCz-oTP), 3,3",5,5"-tetra(9H-carbazole-9-yl)-1,1':2',1"-terphenyl(QCz-oTP), 9,9',9",9"'-(pyridine-2,3-diylbis(benzene-5,3,1-triyl))tetrakis(9H-carbazole)(QCz-oTPy) were synthesized to confirm the characteristics from the increase in the number of electron donor units. |
