Metal ion containing polymer materials have attracted much attention in recent years, because these hybrid composites have great potential in many application fields. However, it is difficult to prepare polymeric materials with highly dispersed metal moieties because of their intrinsic low affinity. To overcome this problem, polymers containing metal ions were synthesized through polymerization of synthetic monomers having transition metal coordinated with organic ligand (cyclooctadiene (COD)). When Silver methacrylate was manufactured for radical co-polymerization with MMA(methyl methacrylate), it added COD because silver methacrylate was dissolved in THF solvent. Microfibers with Ag containing co-polymers through electrospun on transparent substrate can provide potential application fields such as transparent electrode. |
