Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of DNA-Assembled Polyamidoamine (PAMAM) Dendrimer Nanoclusters |
초록 |
Major challenges for the application of polymers to biology and medicine especially in the cancer treatment include biocompatibility, well-defined molecular characteristics, and customized therapeutics because of great need for efficient delivery of therapeutic agents and various molecular alterations (mutation) even among individual patients. Herein a unique molecular platform based on the DNA-directed assembly of dendritic polymers for the delivery of different agents to cancer cells is presented. DNA-assembled imaging and targeting polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimers specifically target KB cells over-expressing folate receptors and internalize into cells. This DNA-directed approach could allow for Mix-and-Match strategy for drug delivery of different drugs with different targeting and imaging agents and provide a basis for production of nanostructured and mesoscopic architectures from organic and inorganic materials in the field of nanoscience and newly emerging nanobiotechnology. |
